NEW RULE FOR BUS BODY BUILDERS

 

The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) has ordered all bus builders to adhere to new body specifications. This comes amidst complain of weak passenger vehicles bodies which fall apart on slight imparts. Bus chassis has been extended unlawfully to accomodate more passengers at the expense of safety. The new requirement targets all public service vehicle body builders.

 

The rules, take effect immediately from November 2013. They (bus builders)  must be  accredited by Kebs on their standard of machinery and personell capacity to ensure specifications meet of Motor Vehicle inspectors.

 

 

 

Now you can access internet onboard coutryside and coast bound buses. Network providers have expanded their reach to capture passenger customers via  wi-fi, offering the package with a new, more powerful Beam.

Bus Companies Need to Urgently employ only competent drivers.

Operators in the bus and coach business need to take a new approach to recruiting new drivers and to carry out more business planning.
