Town Driving

  • Wear your seat belts always.
  • Be courteous even when others are not.
  • Don’t let the mobile phone distract you.
  • Check around all sides when changing lanes to do so safely.
  • When moving into a turn lane, wait until you are in the lane to slow down.
  • Don’t take Traffic problems as personal.
  • Don’t gesture to other motorists especially by obscene centre finger or shaking your head.
  • Signal every lane change.
  • Turn off indicators.
  • Avoid eye contact with antagonistic drivers.
  • Avoid any unnecessary horn. (Even a polite horn can be misunderstood.)
  • Be courteous, if you make a mistake; apologize by making a kind gesture.
  • When stuck in jam traps try to be cool by playing cool music.
  • Allow others to change lanes. Next it you’ll need to change lanes too.
  • It won’t impress anyone if you over speed in the wrong places, you will end up creating trouble.
  • If your vehicle breaks down, don’t panic. There are more friendly people on the roads than those who are dangerous. Send a distress call immediately to MAK.
